EllaMia in Covent Garden ☕️ (and strong family ties)
EllaMia in Covent Garden is a BEAUT little coffee place attached to the St Martin’s Lane Hotel. It's literally just off Trafalgar Square/right by the London Coliseum. Marco and I headed here for a coffee last month during our Wedding Anniversary day-of-fun up in town.
I'd definitely recommend popping in for a coffee if you're in that area! It's reasonably priced and SO PRETTY! Pink velvet. White neon. Gold accents. Coffee. Cake. All the vibes 🙌🏻
Covent Garden in one of my most frequented parts of the city as I’ve got strong family ties to the area. My Great-Granny lived on Bedfordbury (the road behind St Martin’s Lane) until I was 13. She was in an assisted living building then, but had previously lived in and around that same road during WW2.
I loved her little flat, I’d spend hours as a kid looking out of the living room window down to the Coliseum Stage door and into the back of the St Martins Hotel whilst eating skips and drinking Lilt (or 'Silt' as she called it 😭 we never corrected her.)
Such amazing memories and such a special place to me and all our family. I’m so grateful that she lived there. Her ashes are scattered in the church yard of St. Pauls round the corner, and that's also where Marco proposed to me in the church garden 💖
Will always feel like home
PS. Drop me a comment if you ever visit EllaMia, and charge up your phone before you go! You'll probs end up taking loads of pics 🙌🏻
